In most cases, the error message "Operation must use an updateable query" indicates that the Microsoft Access database is locked for changes.
Please ensure that:
- No other user has opened the database exclusively.
- You have not opened the database in read-only mode.
If necessary, close the database in GeoDin, then check the database file directory to see if there is still a temporary *.ldb or *.laccdb file with the same name as the actual database file, and delete this temporary *.ldb or *.laccdb file (provided that no other user still holds the database open).
If the database still cannot be opened in GeoDin or if you cannot create or change objects, you can also try to open the database directly in Microsoft Access and use the built-in Microsoft Access database tool "Compact & Repair" via File > Information > Compact & Repair. To be on the safe side, you can create a backup of your database beforehand.
If the steps mentioned above do not resolve the issue, please contact support@geodin.com, stating that the above suggestions have not solved the problem.
