Table of contents:
The object type "Geotechnical exploration EN ISO 22475 (2018)" allows the acquisition of geological and geotechnical boreholes as well as the associated groundwater monitoring points and wells and is a further development of the object type "Geotechnical exploration EN ISO 22475 (2007)". Input forms, dictionaries and data types for measurement values and layouts are based on the standards DIN / ÖNORM EN ISO 22475 (2007/2006), DIN / ÖNORM / SN EN ISO 14688-1/2 and 14689 (2020) and DIN 4943 (2013).
For current projects, we recommend using the current object type "Geotechnical exploration EN ISO 22475 (2018)" [ENISO002], which is provided for all GeoDin users via our server.
Checklist:
- General data (with additional general data according to DIN 4943)

- Wells / groundwater
- Official notifications
- international geological standard
- bilingual (German, English)
- Customisable dictionaries & input form
- compatible with version 9 (not downward compatible)
Features
Different characteristics of soil and rock such as discontinuities, degree of decomposition, consistency, degree of weathering, rock strength, rock quality and cored section boundaries can be entered in detail via individual input forms in German/Austrian and English.
Predesigned layouts enable data output as forms in accordance with DIN 4943, EN ISO 22475, 14688 and 14689. The geological fill patterns of the layouts comply with the standards DIN 4023, ÖNORM EN ISO 14688/89 and BS 5930-1990.
Please note that the object type has been given a new descriptor (E2) due to technical adjustments and can therefore only be used in full as of GeoDin 9.
Application
The object type is used, for example, in geology, environmental geology, geotechnics, civil engineering and in the graphic representation and documentation of wells and groundwater monitoring points. The results of field and laboratory tests to determine the suitability of soils for constructional issues can be documented using special data types.
